Soul Stealer Book Two Debuts August 2009

BLOOD AND RAIN, the second installment of the powerful, visually dazzling “Soul Stealer” saga, will be released by DMF comics in August 2009.

The first volume of the graphic novel trilogy, written by Michael Easton with art by Christopher Shy, sold out in 2008 and is now in its second printing.

Easton is perhaps best known for his role as John McBain on the daytime drama One Life to Live, as well as the series Ally McBeal and Total Recall 2070.

Bestselling author Peter Straub collaborated with Michael Easton on the graphic novel THE GREEN WOMAN for Vertigo. THE GREEN WOMAN has been described as an “epic psychological horror story” and is to debut in the spring of 2010.

Christopher Shy gained tremendous popularity last year with the release of the graphic novel Pathfinder for Dark Horse Comics, made into a feature film by Marcus Nispel. Shy also worked on the recently released Friday The 13th as he and Nispel re-imagined the character of Jason Voorhees and will be bringing his visual talents to the new CONAN feature film. He is the founder of Studio Ronin.

SOUL STEALER is a graphic tale of horror and fantasy that follows the pieced-together, Frankenstein-like hero, Kalan, on his infinite, centuries-spanning search for his eternal love, the beautiful if fatally elusive Oxania.

The final chapter in the series LAST TO DIE is scheduled to be on the shelves in early 2010.

Actually, Michael would be best known for his role as the amazing vampire, Caleb Morley,
on Port Charles. That, to me, was his signature role. He took daytime to an entirely different
level with his portrayal of Caleb. Caleb put Michael back on the daytime map. No character
will ever be created like that again and no one could have ever played Caleb but Michael
Easton. Caleb was a mystical, magical character and Michael played that role with
perfection. So, that, to me, is what Michael is best known portraying the blood sucker,
sensual, sexy, smooth as butter vampire that we love to this day. That character and the
actor grabbed me like no other and I am pleased to have made Michael’s acquaintance in
    person.

Thanks for an amazing multilayered book 2. The art is visually stunning and the words and story eloquent. I love the back story of Apis, the mythology and Altimus coming back, does he ultimately betray Kalan to get lasa to remember there love? I can’ t wait to see what happens to Kalan, Oxania, Apis Bull, Altimus,Lasa, Vanth, Azrael, Pikeman …. Will we see Apis reunited with his wife and Child after all this time? Will Kalan finish his quest and be with Oxania? What an exciting third book it will be. Thanks Again.
